We currently are seeking qualified candidates for an excellent career and leadership opportunity as an Audit Tool Specialist. The role of this key individual is to provide
Caseware support
to the Professional Standards department and Audit partners and staff. The Administrator is required to become proficient in the use of Caseware/Canvas software programs in order to support the departmental mandates related to these programs.


Responsibilities:

• Interact with users and teams on a daily basis; providing instruction, advice and technical support Troubleshoot, problem solve, research and test solutions for issues encountered by users

• Test and implement new versions of the audit tool

• Program changes to templates as required or to fix bug issues

• Stay current with tools used and make recommendations for enhancements and new versions Lead training sessions for new users

• Monitor internal processes to ensure firm standards are met

• May be required to travel to EY offices in other provinces

• Download the trial balance into the audit software (Caseware) and Canvas software

• Update financial statements, Caseware/Canvas files and adjusting entries

• Coordinate the flow of tax returns and review notes between tax and audit

• Check tax returns and prepare tax efile email packages

• Archive files within deadlines

• Organize the managers and facilitate communication and meetings to meet client deadlines


To qualify:


• Proficient in English and French

• Highly organized coordinator with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and on time with proven time management and prioritization skills.

• Extremely proficient in learning new software programs

• Ability to provide excellent service, with a sense of responsibility and maturity to listen to issues, think through a situation, consider alternative solutions, and provide practical recommendations

• Flexible and adaptable team player

• A minimum of four years of relevant work experience

• A dedication to teamwork and supporting others to find a positive outcome to every challenge

• Proven ability to display leadership and proactive work habits

• Must be able to work with numbers, and have a basic understanding of accounting principles
