One of our client is looking for Senior IT Project Manager (Infrastructure Delivery).This is 24 months contract and location is Down Town TorontoIf interested,pelase apply ASAP.

Resource Profile:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior project management for client’s Infrastructure Delivery Services projects as well as other high profile and complex IT initiatives within all phases of the project lifecycle. This role will ensure project deliverables meet client and stakeholder business requirements on time, scope, and budget, following client’s project management methodologies and frameworks. This role will provide oversight and project management for supporting the client’s in the implementation of multiple project initiatives including coordinating systems integration, Infrastructure Upgrades, complex technology migrations and Operational Risk reduction initiatives. This role requires proven experience in coordinating outsourced Suppliers and Vendors to successfully migrate/transition business applications and infrastructure services from Client data centre to Vendor data centre facilities.

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge acquired through completion of a post-secondary degree in engineering or a technology related field with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent

A minimum of 15 years of IT Project Management or IT Management and scheduling, budgeting, risk, and project control experience

Must have proven and demonstrated experience in coordinating with outsourced IT Infrastructure service providers and third party suppliers to deliver complex migration projects

Experience coordinating and supporting IT Testing processes

Demonstrated project management skills with a solid understanding of project management methodologies in order to effectively manage multiple highly complex IT Infrastructure projects

Senior level experience identifying resource requirements to internal and external resources, tracking project Risk, Action, Issues, Decisions (RAID), and provide various levels of status reporting.

Conceptual and analytical skills to assess and evaluate needs and cost/benefit analysis for new infrastructure technology requirements, in planning and designing solutions.

Knowledge of complex IT system development and design methodologies and processes.

Superior written and oral communication skills to develop and present various project documentation including business cases, briefing notes, action plans, executive summaries, technical reports etc.

Prioritizing work to manage a very high volume of day-to-day activities and balance their demands against longer-term work and commitments.

Professional interpersonal skills, including proven negotiation, customer-service abilities

Superior relationship management, teamwork skills

Expert communicator to present and explain concepts and ideas, build strong linkages with team members using various vehicles of communication to share information

Highly proficient with project management/portfolio management tools and Microsoft Office suite to prepare project various documents and reports.

Collaborate with project team members and contractors to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Ability to build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Resource Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work with the client’s team regarding the following:

Liaise with internal/external stakeholders and client governance committees to ensure project deliverables and dependencies are successfully delivered

Responsible for end-to-end project management from design and development to production while adhering to established WSIB project/testing methodologies and methods.

Partner with client team members for day to day operational aspects of projects to ensure adherence to scope, conferring with senior managers to outline the work breakdown schedule (WBS), and modifying schedules or plans as required and effectively following acceptable project methodology.

Ensure IT project scope, deliverables, goals and milestones are communicated and documentation is provided for sign off

Work closely with stakeholders in defining business and technical requirements, and support the business through this process by keeping stakeholders informed through the process and using information provided in order to meet business needs.

Maintain and update technical and project documentation, and also maintain a clear and concise documented process for the implementation and integration of projects.

Prepare weekly project status reports and keep management and other stakeholders informed of project status and other related issues on a regular and timely basis.

Integrate project plan and all project schedules and reports.

IT project risk and issue identification, documentation and mitigation of potential implementation issues. Mitigation and resolution strategies to minimize impacts to project needs/outcomes.

Cost-benefit analyses and ROI calculations to determine project feasibility. Track and communicate project budgets (planned versus actual) during the project lifecycle in order to ensure that financial targets are met and/or adjusted accordingly.

Provide project retrospectives/lessons learned as required.

Provide project performance measures, indicators, benchmarks and guidelines

Support and participate in the project procurement process i.e. Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ) etc. for external services as required.

Present to the executive team and at regular status meetings with project teams.

Provide support to senior level executives on planning and management of the unit including: annual planning of unit projects and priorities, identifying resource requirements and capabilities

Perform other duties as assigned or required.
