IT Support Specialist - Idea Couture Inc. - Toronto, ON

As our main IT gal/guy for day-to-day helpdesk support, you will work closely with those experiencing any technical issues that need solving. We have our moments where we run into problems that we can’t overcome without the help of IT. Whether it’s an issue with those pesky printers or perhaps a computer is being uncooperative, you’re there with the right attitude and the answers to save the day!

Working closely with our IT manager, you’ll gain great experience assisting on significant IT improvements company-wide. Be prepared to wear many hats as you help make people’s day easier. Responsibilities

• Manage desktop deployments and software installations across the office.
  


• Configure and maintain both onsite and offsite backup systems.
  


• Maintain and troubleshoot our global phone system including Asterix config, handsets and video conferencing.
  


• Manage the IT inventory.
  


• Provide hardware and software assistance to IC employees, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  


• Maintain intranet system (File Server, Email accounts, etc.).
  

Required skills / Experience

• University or college degree in Information Technology or related field
  


• 1-2 years experience in a helpdesk and networking support role or equivalent.
  


• Experience with OSX and Windows operating systems. We’re a mac shop so you should be comfortable working with these machines.
  


• Familiar with productivity and design software: Microsoft office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  


• Ability to prioritize fast-paced fast paced environment; have you ever worked in a start-up? That’s a plus!
  


• Resourceful with all sorts of troubleshooting; not every problem will be straightforward.
  


• A passion for all things tech and a great attitude! A lot of people will be relying on you for their tech needs.
  

Compensation

• Commensurate with experience.
