Work Location: Toronto, Ontario. Work to be conducted either remotely or onsite, depending on client requirements. You will be required to work on a full-time basis, on two or three week engagements.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Our valued client located in Toronto requires a Security Consultant to perform penetration testing on client’s applications and network. Penetration testing will mainly be conducted against web applications, using a combination of manual techniques and automated tools. Upon completion of each penetration test, a report is delivered to the client detailing the findings, including impacts and recommendations for remediation. You will be involved in the testing and reporting phases of penetration testing delivery, and are expected to work both individually and as part of a small team.

Scope of Services and Deliverables

• Conduct penetration tests and network and application vulnerability assessments for the client.


• The assessment will focus on security vulnerabilities found within the applications and network.


• Upon completion of the work, the consultant will provide a detailed report containing descriptions of any and all issues identified during the assessment and their potential technical impacts. The report will also include recommendations on how to remediate any issues identified.


• The report shall include a description of the methodology used to perform the assessment, including a listing of any automated tools used.


• Work files and/or evidence to support findings discovered during penetration testing should be available upon request.

Skills:

• Verifiable work experience with vulnerability assessment methodologies, tools, and techniques used to conduct network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.


• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, .NET and Java programming languages, and common network services and protocols


• Experience with writing reports aimed at both the executive/non-technical management level, and technical analyst level.


• The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities, experience in managing
