System Administrator
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day to day administration of the service desk and IT infrastructure. Working closely with employees from all three brands, the successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, someone who is passionate about technology and understands the importance of providing excellent customer service. The candidate will also be provided the opportunity to participate in new IT initiatives that will add value to the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to):
Provide helpdesk services for the Canadian restaurant support Center (RSC)
• Assists in the creation and maintenance of new and existing helpdesk processes (incident management, KPI, reporting).
• Remediation of helpdesk requests and IT incidents.
• Assists in the creation and maintenance of user onboarding and off boarding.
• Provide end user support for all PC’s and corporate applications.
IT Infrastructure maintenance and support
• Installations, configuration and maintenance of data backup environment (Veritas Backup Exec)
• Installations, configuration and maintenance of virtual environment (VMware Virtual Center and vSphere.)
• Monitoring of IT infrastructure to ensure quick resolution of issues.
• Management of the RSC Printing environment.
PC’s and Laptops
• Assist in creating hardware and software standards for the RSC.
• Develops and continually updates PC build processes to ensure organizational standards are being met.
• Deskside and remote support of core desktop applications such as MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Anti-Virus, MS Outlook, Lotus Notes and other desktop related issues on internally developed and third party applications
Security
• Installations, configuration and maintenance of the Symantec Anti-Virus environment
• Responsible for the server’s installation and configuration of patch management environment.
• Workstation and server deployments of security updates and patches (operating systems and applications)
Management of mobile devices
• IPhones, tablets in a MS Office 365 environment or through other MDM type software
Administrative
• Work closely with vendors for IT technology procurement.
• Create and submit invoices for IT equipment to finance.
Key Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in related field, Technology degree/diploma is preferred
• 5+ years working experience in a Service Desk Tier 2 or 3 environment
• 3+ years of hands on experience being a systems administrator within a Microsoft and VMware environment
• Microsoft Active Directory User, File and Directory Administration
• Active Directory Group Policies
• Microsoft Windows 2012, 2008, DNS, DHCP
• MS Office 365 administration
• Working knowledge of VMWare VSphere administration
• Antivirus and Malware remediation
• Veritas backup exec experience.
• ITIL foundation certification and knowledge is beneficial (incident and problem management)
• Excellent communication and time management skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred.
