Marketing Manager / Brand Manager
A reputed CPG firm is seeking a young and enthusiastic marketing manager responsible for a product portfolio.
Requirements:
• A University Business Commerce or Marketing degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 3-5 years or marketing experience as an Assistant or Brand Manager in packaged goods marketing.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Support Software.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute consumer promotions, website updates, the advertising and promotions budget, (including invoicing, reconciliation, monthly accruals and preparations of the Project Approval Forms.)
• Monitor, analyze and report competitive activity in the marketplace to remain up to date on the marketplace, key customers, and competitors for effective planning use.
• Complete monthly Nielsen analysis reports for senior management and monthly QA updates to provide updates in sales, market share, to ensure quality standards and identify potential problems.
• Manage sales and brand profitability and recommend to Category Director, improvement opportunities, new product sku’s, pricing, advertising and consumer trade promotion proposals.
• Manage and audit portfolio budgets throughout the year to ensure spending is within budget.
• Assist Category Director with development of customer strategies, annual Business Review and Marketing Plan, and advertising and promotion activities to achieve market plan objectives.
• Lead, direct and manage execution of Provincial Scotties Tournament of Hearts events (including ice decals, crests, trophies, and product requirements), and communicate with event agency to organize President’s reception, arena lounges and closing banquet.
• Manage Scotties Tournament of Hearts Assistant Manager with respect to TV rotation, billboards and arena signage.
• Execute and organize packaging changes with external suppliers and mill employees to achieve desired product packaging.
• Consult and collaborate with product development, sales and trade marketing on new opportunities to drive the business and with marketing agencies to develop successful marketing initiatives.
