Position: Policies and Procedures Specialist Start Date: Tuesday September 06, 2016 until Friday January 20th, 2017 (Contract Position) Summary of Duties: Reports to Executive Director. Updates existing policies, procedures and practices in accordance with current legislation and needs of the organization. Creates news policies, procedures protocols in keeping with the growing needs/demands of the Club. Based on current financial procedures within the organization the successful candidate must be able to produce financial policies. Salary: C ommensurate with experience and qualifications Hours: 25 hours per week (scheduling times vary) Key Responsibilities:
- Review existing policies, procedures, protocols and practices
- In accordance with the above determine required changes
- Research current trends regarding policies, procedures and protocols
- Create, revise and rewrite policies, procedures and protocols’ documents
- Create policies and information action models to accompany policies and procedures
* Competencies Very strong research, technical writing and analytical skills Knowledge of Federal, Provincial (Ontario) and Municipal (Toronto) legislation in related areas Good people skills Good communication skills Sound understanding of Best Practices in required fields Knowledge of graphics modeling Ability to multitask Good reference and fact checking skills
Qualifications:
- Human Resource and accounting background
- BA in Human Resources or Communications
