Art Therapist - Odette Cancer Centre - Patient and Family Support Program  - Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre - Toronto, ON

Summary of Duties

Responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the Art Therapy Program for patients of the Odette Cancer Centre. Participation in educational activities and other duties as required.

Qualifications/Skills

• Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Art Therapy required

• Degree in Psychology, Fine Arts or Social Sciences preferred

• Meets requirements for registration with the incoming College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario

• Registered Art Therapist status preferred

• Professional Membership with either the Canadian Art Therapy Association or the Ontario Art Therapy Association required

• CPR Certification at the Basic/Rescuer Level preferred

• Previous experience working with oncology preferred

• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills

• Previous experience working in Interprofessional care preferred

• Knowledgeable and supportive of Person-Centred Care
