Woodbine Entertainment Group is seeking a customer service oriented individual to join our Gaming Hospitality team at Woodbine Racetrack. This position will be responsible for the preparation, sale and exceptional service of food and beverages, as well as other operational and inventory tasks related. Success in this role will be demonstrated through your friendly demeanor, knowledgeable direction and ability to WOW Every Guest!

In this role, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Customer Service:
Provide prompt, friendly and courteous service to customer at all times
Provide and offer information re: products options, ingredients, specials and preparation times
Address all customer product and service needs, requests and concerns promptly
Consistently maintain and replenish supplies in service areas
Demonstrate cleanliness as highest priority by ensuring service areas are kept clean at all times – correct deviations to WEG standard
Train and assist new personnel in delivering optimal service, food preparation and presentation
Comply with clean and complete WEG uniform requirements at all times
Consistently uphold and demonstrate safety rules and standards as designated by Hospitality Department
Adhere to Smart Serve and Alcohol and Gaming Commission regulations
Food Preparation:
Prepare , serve and sell hot and cold food items which include but are not limited to cold sandwiches, hot dogs, hot snacks, baked goods and portioning and preparing salad items according to WEG standards
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages which include but are not limited to coffee, tea, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Consistently maintain supplies and inventory to meet service levels
Keep work areas clean and organized
Operations:
Pick up, count and verify floats on a daily basis
Complete all tasks as assigned on prep, usage and cleaning sheets
Assist in counting opening inventories and verify all new supplies are received
Wash, sanitize and store small wares in designated location
Clean and sanitize all counters, condiment tables and equipment at end of shift
Store all supplies in a secured area
Prepare and count deposits and reconcile variances at completion of shift
Assist in counting closing inventories and completing waste sheets
Complete and submit all required closing round documentation
Set up service areas, condiment tables and check equipment-ensure all areas are cleaned and sanitized-correct and deviations to WEG standard
Lead by example, to exhibit, encourage and motivate WEGs Values and Beliefs
Qualifications:
Be All In!
We are seeking talented individuals with:
Proven ability to deal professionally and courteously with customers
Through understanding of methods and machinery, techniques and sanitation practices involved with preparation and service of concession food and alcoholic beverages
Working knowledge of cash register and tendering procedures
Proven accuracy in performing basic mathematical calculations
Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written)
Basis knowledge of alcoholic beverages
Working knowledge of Safe Food Handling Procedures and Health and Safety Practices an asset
Responsible for obtaining and maintaining Smart Serve certification
This is a part-time, hourly, unionized position based out of Woodbine Racetrack. The hours of work will vary and will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
