Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA)
Dynamic, motivated & enthusiastic Physiotherapist Assistant graduate required for our busy clinic in Port Credit, Mississauga.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Assisting Physiotherapist with delivery of Plan of Management, including application of therapeutic modalities, exercise instruction/performance/supervision
• Assist with maintaining complete clinical notes for every patient and assisting with supervision of rehab floor activities and treatment rooms
• Supervise patients during exercise (cardio, stretching and strengthening)
• Record subjective symptoms of the patient’s condition, review of previous treatment and outcomes
• Communicate Physiotherapist regarding patients with new complaints or acute injury
• Periodically monitor the condition of electrodes for wear and tear, and to replace them accordingly
QUALFICATIONS:
• Multi-tasking skills required as well as exceptional people skills
• New graduates welcome, but needs to be trained in Canada; must hold PTA graduate degree
• Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy & exercise science a must
