Business Analyst, Sales & Marketing - Canada Guaranty - Toronto, ON

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Business Analyst, Sales and Marketing will support

operational and strategic goals by identifying business opportunities through the effective analysis of quantitative

data, including research, evaluation and monitoring. In this role, the Business Analyst will help develop and

streamline best practices within the Sales and Marketing department to support a variety of trend analysis and

benchmarking, forecasting and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities will include data analysis, market research, competitive analysis, planning, as well as the

communication, preparation and presentation of material for internal and external customers. Ideal candidates will

have business analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and

within a dynamic, performance-driven and customer-centric team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Develop regular and ad-hoc reports to monitor and analyze performance to support departmental objectives.

 Create and maintain reports on key metrics for targeted lending partners.

 Participate in the development of the annual business plan, providing insight and analysis, as required.

 Identify opportunities to enhance sales and marketing strategies through the collection and consolidation of


data-driven analytics.

 Develop methods and strategies to streamline new and existing reporting processes to enhance operational


analysis.

 Dive into large amounts of structured and unstructured data to extract information, gain insight and create


predictive variables to present within various reports and presentations.

 Effectively communicate findings and insights to internal partners in a professional, concise and easy-to-


understand way.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


 University degree in Business or related field.

 3+ years of relevant work in an analytical role.

 Sound knowledge and experience working within mortgage lending or related financial services.


KEY COMPETENCIES


Planning & Proficiencies

 Experience extracting, preparing, and analyzing large data sets.

 Practical statistical experience in a professional environment or business setting.

 Advanced/expert proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

 Experience developing, presenting and confidently communicating analytical data.

 Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and draw insights and recommendations, where required.

 Strong analytical skills, including previous exposure to quantitative exploration, analysis and reporting.
