Senior QA Analyst - Aversan - Toronto, ON





Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with business analysts and development team to determine and verify requirements and design specifications;

  • Work in collaboration with project management and other business stakeholders to provide work estimates for QA tasks;

  • Develop Test Plans and Test Cases within the required timeframe and budget;

  • Write positive, negative, smoke and regression test scripts to test product functionality and integration with dependencies;

  • Write, execute and update automated test scripts;

  • Responsible for following established SDLC methodologies;

  • Participate in all phases of the project life cycle and promotes QA Center of Excellence Quality Assurance’s best practices and standards;

  • Identify risks and escalate to project leadership on a timely basis;

  • Work with business and technical personnel (i.e. Development, IT Operations) to troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues quickly and efficiently;

  • Provide updates on tasks via discussions and status reports in written, verbal or graphical form as required;

  • Provide practical QA approach based on industry best practices to a wide range of complex problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology or in a related field;

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in QA methodologies, QA testing, development of test plans, test cases and test scripts;

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a senior QA Analyst capacity;

  • Experience using visual studio and coded UI;

  • Demonstrated planning and project management skills;

  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of experience;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work closely with a project team and with internal staff and external stakeholders;

  • Understanding of the various aspects of software development life cycle (SDLC);

  • Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
