Job Purpose: Working under the supervision of the Yard and Mechanic Supervisor, the Yardman Labourer will perform various tasks to support yard and field operations.

Responsibilities:
Receiving material and completing all paper work following company procedures;

Preparation of equipment and vehicles for the next day;

Maintaining inventory of material, tools and parts;

Communication with other Departments (Construction team, mechanical, buyer, admin, etc.),

Delivering material and equipment to production teams.

Picking up material, parts and tools from suppliers.

Daily production report, inventory, log book, mechanical inspection sheet, etc.

Accurately completing all work reports with company provided tools.

Regularly perform Health & Safety inspection of equipment and tools.

Adhere to Health & Safety Rules.

Follow equipment maintenance schedules and advise if repairs are required.

Perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

Essential Qualifications:
English proficiency;

Grade 12 equivalency

2 years of experience in yard or warehouse work or similar experience;

Relevant experience in the field of telecommunications;

Valid full G driver’s licence;

Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment supporting production needs;

Good physical endurance. (Ability to lift up to 75lbs)

Asset Qualifications:
Able to work on a night shift;

French proficiency;

Experience in the field of construction;

Experience operating a front end loader;

Good knowledge of Telecom/underground construction industry;

AZ or DZ driver’s licence.
