At this time, the position requires bilingual skills (French/English)
Primary Purpose
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and related support to Essendant customers.
Major Responsibilities
▪ Answers inbound calls and provides customer support regarding product information/pricing, special order information, quotes, order status, price/quantity deviations, etc. Expedites customer requests.
▪ Researches product and order information for customers. Documents all customer interaction on orders and enquiries on electronic call logs.
▪ Carry out order entry process on all inbound customer orders.
▪ Troubleshoots customer issues and handles complaints.
▪ Works with large reports dealing with backorders, non stocks, drop ships, etc
▪ Collaborates with other Essendant departments to ensure that customers receive excellent service at all touch points.
▪ Understands and demonstrates Essendant’s Core Values.
▪ Performs other duties as assigned.
▪ Backfill other support roles as needed.

Education and Experience
▪ High School Diploma or GED required.
▪ Prior customer service/industry experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
▪ Hand-eye coordination to effectively operate a computer and ten-key calculator.
▪ Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus.
▪ Ability to speak clearly and listen (hearing). Bilingual if required.
▪ Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a work station.
▪ Ability to reach with arms and hands.
▪ Proper lifting technique; ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
