Cashier - Natural Markets Food Group - Toronto, ON

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cashier is responsible for providing customer service, cashiering, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Richtree Standards. Provides excellent customer service by satisfying each customer’s needs and exceeding their expectations. This role is critical to delivering a “wow” shopping experience for the customer.

THE JOB

• Responsible for providing excellent customer service and demonstrate a passion for food.
  


• Demonstrate product knowledge, an overall knowledge of Richtree Markets Restaurants
  


• Responds positively to customer’s inquiries and assists customers with purchases, information and product selection.
  


• Greets customer; establishes eye contact with customers.
  


• Speaks to customers in a respectful manner and maintains patience in addressing customer concerns.
  


• Scan products, process credit cards and cash, balance cash registers.
  


• Document all void transactions, refunds and change requests, record and report Point of Sale discrepancies, identify counterfeit money.
  


• Performs suggestive selling, cross selling of products, and other sales techniques.
  


• Ensure that displays are stocked, neat, and clean.
  


• Balances cash drawer and receipts for shift; document and report discrepancies.
  

Requirements:

THE SKILLS THAT ARE NEEDED

• Minimum of one year experience as a Cashier, Food Expeditor and/or Hostess in the restaurant industry
  


• Cash handling and the ability to operate POS system
  


• Incredible customer service skills & the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture
  


• Have a positive and cheerful attitude
