Lifeguard - 10wk Live-in Contract (Special Needs Summer camp)

Belwood Lodge and Camp is a summer camp for children, youth, and adults with special needs. We take pride in our unique program being a safe place for individuals with mental and physical disabilities to make friends and build life skills. Currently we are seeking a NLS certified Lifeguard to run our pool and waterfront program.

The Waterfront & Pool Program Counsellor (Lifeguard) position lasts for 10 weeks beginning June 24, 2016. It is a summer contract, full time, live-in positionThis position also qualifies for the season-end bonus of $500 (upon successful completion of 10 week contract)

The Waterfront & Pool Program Counsellor is responsible for safe management of the pool and waterfront areas during use. They are responsible for the upkeep of chemicals in the pool (will train), as well as enforcing all safety in both areas. They must be comfortable working with a population with mental and physical disabilities and with other like-minded individuals. Participants come for between 1 and 3 weeks and needs vary with each camp.
