We are looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our Metro Centre team in Toronto. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and preventative maintenance of building systems. You will build relationships with external contractors and internal customers, while working closely with the management team on site. You will monitor and adjust building equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and tenant comfort is achieved.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• The day-to-day operations of building systems; including Plumbing, Lighting, HVAC and other mechanical equipment and electrical systems.

• Maintaining an effective Preventative Maintenance Program throughout the building including filter replacement

• Inspections and troubleshooting the HVAC system and other components as required

• Assisting management with aspects of building operations such as capital projects and making recommendations to enhance operating efficiencies.

• Communication with our customers and tenant call centre to ensure all requests and inquiries are rectified for customers and tenants on site, in a timely manner


To succeed in this role, you:

• Have experience working in a similar role, minimum of 2-3 years working as a maintenance mechanic

• Possess one or more of the following certifications: Building Environmental Systems (BES) Operator Class 1 or/and 2 or BOMA Systems Mechanical Technician (SMT) or BOMA Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA)

• Can be flexible with working hours to meet the needs of our tenants and staff
