Maintenance Person - Canadian Linen and Uniform Services - Toronto, ON






Canadian Linen and Uniform Services is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic, who will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing the branches industrial laundry equipment. . As one of our Maintenance Mechanics, you can expect to:


  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

  • Provide emergency / unscheduled / scheduled repairs of production equipment during production.

  • Prepare and start up machinery and equipment for scheduled production runs.

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufactures instructions and engineering specifications and troubleshooting malfunctions.

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair or production machines.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Successful candidates will also posses:


  • Millwright, Stationary Engineer, Electrical certificates would be an asset.

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position (including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and push/pull up to 300 lbs assisted)

  • Minimum educational requirement of high School diploma OR GED with relevant work experience and trade certificates.

  • Secondary School Diploma or higher is an asset

  • Self motivation and ability to work in an environment without direct supervision for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to act in accordance with Standard Procedures supporting company-wide Operational, Service and Safety guidelines

  • A positive attitude and demonstration of core values including Integrity, Trust, Respect & Responsibility.
