We have an opening for a Chief, Maintenance Data Management position. You will report directly to the Manager Maintenance Data and Aircraft Economics. In this role you will be responsible to manage the day to day activities of the MDM team responsible for In-Service Maintenance Data Management.
In your role, you will:
– Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and training support to ensure continued development of the Maintenance Data Management group;
– Organize and prioritize the daily activities related to data exchange and processing;
– Organize data and upload Maintenance Data databases with new processed data in a timely manner;
– Provide leadership and direction on development and expansion of data exchange with operators, suppliers, and various cross-functional departments within Bombardier;
– Review completeness and quality of data received from operators and develop and execute plan to address any deficiencies;
– Develop and maintain the technical specification for data processing
– Coordinate and negotiate schedule for data processing with contracted third party;
– Maintain accurate record keeping of data processed for invoice verification and provide budgetary input to Manager of Maintenance Data & Aircraft Economics according to plan for data expansion;
– Develop and maintain up to date aircraft and fleet status files on Lotus Notes and iflybombardier.com on a monthly basis;
– Develop and produce key performance indicators to support continuous improvement initiatives, through Achieving Excellence
– Support administrative accountabilities for staff with regular reports to Manager Maintenance Data & Aircraft Economics
– Ensure robustness and accuracy of Maintenance Data Oracle and other databases.
– Ensure successful implementation of Microstrategy
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
– You possess a University Degree in Areospace or Mechanical Engineering
– You have a minimum of five (5) years experience in data and database management preferably in an airline environment, or (8) years in aviation manufacturing or vendor
– You demonstrate strong leadership skills and you are a team player
– You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Oral and Written)
– You have a strong customer service focus
– You have a thorough knowledge of the Bombardier Aerospace organization, functions responsibilities and internal processes
You have a strong knowledge of Oracle databases, Microsoft Access, Microstrategy and Excel software is a must. Other computer skills include Lotus Notes and Microsoft Project are considered an asset.
