Responsibilities
- Leading our clients through the creation of digital solutions that are on time and on budget, while exceeding expectations and meeting all requirements
- Collaborating with the team internally and our clients to understand their needs by listening and providing relevant insight and translating these into tangible requirements
- Managing the entire integrated communication strategy from initial estimates and planning to execution, budgeting, tracking and post-mortem analysis
- Building relationships that foster long lasting partnerships while improving reach and depth in our existing partnerships
- Involved with new business development and account management, including pitches, estimates, quotes, scheduling, and brainstorming. This also includes initial requirement gathering, creative briefs, specifications, strategy, online client presentations, internal resource management and management of third party/external vendors
- Your key role is to listen, learn, interpret and translate the client needs to the team, then work to ensure the deliverables run smoothly, evolve and exceed client expectations
- You will ultimately be responsible for estimates, purchase orders, billing and overall project budgets
- You will work with the Creative Director to ensure the deliverables are on target while managing budget and timelines
- Depending on the scope and size of the various projects, internal and client facing meetings will vary from weekly to monthly and you will be called upon the prepare status reports and lead these meetings
- The role requires a balance between client communications and internal project management
- We will encourage you to add your own perspective and experience to improve ongoing best practices and processes
- On a daily basis you will manage your creative team, operational teams and partner agencies to ensure they all have the relevant materials and feedback to produce and execute effectively
- Projects range from app development to responsive intranets and websites, CRM, SEO, analytics and video. A strong background with digital and traditional marketing is helpful
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with leading and mentoring junior and intermediate developers through front-end and back-end development projects. The candidate should be experienced and comfortable enough to field questions of varying degrees of difficulty to continue building the knowledge of the developers around them. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital solutions, detail oriented and comfortable working with local and remote teams (teams are located internationally in Canada, USA and Europe). The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with several clients and several projects concurrently – each with varying timelines and scopes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of web, desktop, and/or mobile apps development experience. At least 20 projects in references are required
- 2 years of small business management experience.
- 2 years of account management experience
- 4+ years of Eexperience in developing Internet products and technologies
- 2 years of desktop apps development experience
- Experience in .NET Web apps (ASp.NET MVC), PHP Web Apps, Window Desktop Apps
- Experience with 2D Graphics (Photoshop), 3D Graphics
- Ability to work well in a fast paced cross-functional team environment
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Project Management tools, Basecamp, TimeFox, Freshbooks and Google Web Apps
