What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will be part of fast growing Wealth Management Data Environment Support team which will work with multiple infrastructure teams, upstream/downstream system consumers and services providers, 3rd party vendor partners, and operation partners. Wealth Management Data Environment Support team is highly focusing on the communication, collaboration, integration, automation and measurement of cooperation in order to provide a range of operational, business, technical, and system needs, to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.
What will you do?
- Lead technology compliance projects (E.g. AIX and Sybase upgrade), coordinate with Unix, DBA, DB System, Application teams and infrastructure teams to ensure projects complete successfully.
- Manage small initiatives by working with different teams including Unix, Windows, Security, Network, Change Management to ensure initiatives complete successfully.
- Provide technical directions in application environments (Hardware, Tools, Application monitoring and configurations etc) to meet RBC standards and compliances
- Assesses and analyses the environment requirements, current state and technology choices to evaluate solution alternatives that meet requirements.
- Demonstrate technical leadership to fellow team members
- Troubleshoot issues related application environments issues with help of other teams to ensure application environment running smoothly.
- Provide expert counseling and support to the development team on construction and maintenance of robust, secure and efficient environment
- Follow RBC Technology Standards and provide guidance and governance to Dev team and support team.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 10+ years experiences in IT
- Advanced knowledge, experience, and understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows
- Strong Database skills include data modelling, Stored Procedures, normalization/Demoralization, performance tuning.
- 3+ years development experience with knowledge for Java, .Net, C, Unix scripting and perl
- Knowledge about DevOps (Jenkins, Urbancodes etc), application monitoring tools (Dynatrace) and related tools
- Full understanding of IT Standards, Methodologies, CMM & audit requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, consultative, and team communication / facilitative skills
Nice-to-have
- Good understanding of the Big Data Architecture
- Project Management Skills
- Agile experiences.
- Financial institution knowledge
