“Development Responsibilities:

• Design and write code for new data systems.


• Add input to architectural design decisions.


• Document design and code for later maintenance.


• Develop your technical and business knowledge.


• Enhance existing applications (in both Java and sometimes in Perl).


• Design, develop, test, and maintain referential data software infrastructure. High level design specifications and requirements will be provided.


• Typical examples of development that will be required for the software infrastructure include: producing a new data loader for a new client feed, modifying existing loaders to conform to new client specifications, producing tools to monitor and improve referential data quality, producing new reports.


• Apply technical, industry, and functional knowledge to design efforts


• Develop test plans, test scripts, test cases and expected results to ensure that changes to the software infrastructure meet user requirements and functional specifications.


• Product turnover. Release the tested product from the QA/Test environment into the production environment


• Provide documentation of loaders and job streams for use by Support personnel. Update required program and project folder documentation, following the documentation standards checklist where applicable. Is accountable for both its content and style accuracy.


• Follow all applicable project standards and methodologies. Support Responsibilities:


• Provide support to clients. Solve problems in a timely manner.


• Document procedures of how to resolve problems.


• Share on-call duties with team members. Team Development/ Professional Responsibilities:


• Reports status regularly to the relevant team leaders.


• Is dedicated to quality client service. Provides timely responses to client requests and queries. Resolves client issues in a timely fashion. Maintains flexibility in responding to client requests.


• Provides on-call support outside normal business hours, as needed.


• Demonstrates effective problem solving skills.


• Effectively manages and controls own tasks.
