INTRO:
Oaks ‘n acorns is looking for a new outgoing, hardworking and customer service minded co-worker to primarily work in our in-studio café throughout the week including weekends (Saturdays a must), but also someone excited about being part of a Jill-of-all-trades position in a smaller company which gives our co-workers the opportunity to work birthday parties on the weekend, assist with classes and seasonal camps, run an afterschool program for kids, and play an important role as program advisor when clients are looking for suggestions on classes to join. It is truly an ever-changing position, which in return offers lots of fun and a great team to work with, and the right candidate will have rich opportunity to advance into leadership positions after displaying their skills and commitment.

During the week; You will be responsible for checking in clients for classes (via special software), making sandwiches and barista beverages in the café (including baking, training provided), handling cash, provide exceptional customer service at all times, hold and play with babies while parents settle in/out the door, stock the café including purchasing and inventory taking, tidy the studio and maintain cleanliness, answer phone calls and emails, AND be ready to take on end of day cleaning which includes toy sanitation, vacuuming, mopping and closing down studio duties including cash out and closing duties.

On weekends; You will be our party host assisting parents with their child’s party in our space. This includes being the perfect host, running fun party activities and being a little obsessed with cleaning as this position does require a lot of cleaning (think cake on the walls kind of mess!). So be prepared to roll up your sleeves and take on the cleaning end of day.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Food handlers certificate (can be completed in first month at own expense)


• Highly organized, punctual, ability to time manage and multitask


• Responsible and great work ethics


• Exceptional customer service skills and outgoing/chatty personality


• Exceptional written and verbal communication


• Takes personal ownership of projects and a “Treat it like its yours” personality


• Very computer literate (Mac and windows platform)


• Excel at self-directed work and tasks (self-starter)


• Obsessed with cleaning a plus!


• Must love working with children and parents


• Previous experience in similar field a plus


• Previous sales experience a big plus!

ABOUT US:
Oaks ‘n acorns is an Activity Studio for parents and children, and we offer recreational programming throughout the week such as music, art, gym, dance, cooking and fitness classes. Our facility also features an indoor play area as well as a staff operated café for clients. On weekends we host birthday parties and special events, and throughout the year we run camps, kids night out and educational preschool programs. Our staff is compiled of professional teachers, instructors and staff whom love being around parents and children.
