Job brief
We are looking for a technology manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running and developing of our Company Technology Infrastructure within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the design, implementation and maintenance of our Telecom services.
You’ll generally need a degree and several years of relevant experience.
The successful candidate will have improved skills, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of industry’s best practice processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage information technology and Network infrastructure (mobile and landline)
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and Network infrastructure
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures (ITSM, Cobit, Togaf, eTOM, …) within the company.
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
- Manage staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures
- Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
- Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
- Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Agreeing costs, timescales and standards to be met and monitoring these through the project
- Develop requirements, outlines, budgets, and schedulers for information technology projects.
- Oversee all phases of project from conception to completion.
- Manage team of consultants, programmers, developers, and analysts.
- Follow PMI or Prince2 standards to manage projects through the project lifecycles of initiation, planning, execution and closure.
- Assess new opportunities.
- Develop security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Requirements
- Great IT and Telecom skills combined with a good head for business
- Strong experience on MVNO implementation (in IT and network sides)
- Strong experience in Network technologies: ADSL2+/VDSL2 / FTTx / IP Multimedia Subsystem / IPTV / mobile network (2G, 3G, 4G) / IP
- Strong working knowledge of BSS/OSS solution architecture: Customer relationship management / Provisioning / Auto-activation / Network inventory / Integration / mediation and billing / Unified Product Catalog and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) / Data Storage / revenue assurance
- Proven working experience as an IT and Telecom manager or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and mobile and landline network infrastructure skills
- Expertise in data center management and data governance
- Good prioritization skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans
- Good leadership skills, evaluation skills and Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage personnel and team building
- Strong leadership and Confidence in decision making skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Understanding of complex information and requirements
- Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms
- Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering or Physics applied to Telecommunication systems
- MS (Master of Science) in Software Engineering and/or Computer Science Engineering
- MS (Master of Science) in Engineering and management of Telecommunication Network
Experience
More than 20 years of relevant experience in IT and Telecom within Telecom operators.
